I love her, but shyness is overtaking (Advanced situation)?

So, there is this girl i've known since i was a baby, every time we met at some event she never said a word (she was shy) but i was young so i was more interested in toys and playing with my friends then girls, now i am 16 and last time i saw her somewhere near her school and i fell in love at first-after-a-long-time sight.We text sometimes but it is not more then common conversations (hey, how are you, how was your day on school and so on). And this also cause i too, am shy. I've never really hooked up with a girl or got laid like any other teen from my age. but i wrote poems (it's kinda my job) just for her but i didn't tell her they we're written for her yet. I'm so shy but madly in love and i don't want no other thing then her. I don't know how i can wrestle myself out of this dilemma. thanks for your help anyway.
