Grill w/ stubby lil legs...?

Okay, I acknowledge that this may seem like a dumb question, but I just bought a propane grill w/ short stubby lil legs thinking, this is a table top grill, because, how many ppl really want a grill that they have to bend way over in order to use? Which actually happens to be my case anyway...anyways, I live in an 2nd floor apartment and i have this tiny lil balcony outside it, made of wood. And the warnings in the grills manual say that it is not a table top grill and should not be used on any table top type surface....(dang it). So, I guess the point is, will it be a really bad idea to operate this grill on the floor of my balcony? Or are they just saying that I shouldn't use it on anything that may tip over...?
