How to cite my sources on my blog?

I am working on a blog for a school project, so my posts must be reputable. How do I go about citing them? I don't want my posts to have ugly MLA source citations below them, as if they were from a bibliography. My information is coming from academic journals and books. How do I cite these sources on my blog?
